Cocoaland story began when two brothers started out as small-time vendors selling deep-fried snacks and banana fritters in the Klang Valley. They were later joined by other brothers and moved upstream in their business activities in order to benefit from higher margins. Mite Food Enterprise Sdn. Bhd. was formed in 1980 as a manufacturing and distributing company. Success finally came in the mid-1980s when the brothers successfully identified a market opportunity for the manufacture of polytube drinks, which enable the company to venture into the overseas market for the first time, exporting to the Middle East, and purchase their own factory, where the group's second successful product 'Koko Jelly' was produced.

 

   Today Cocoaland Holding Group is managed by (10) siblings.

Cocoaland Industry Sdn. Bhd., which is located in Rawang and Kepong, Selangor Darul Ehsan, is the principal manufacturing arm of the Cocoaland Holding Group, manufacturing mainly chocolates, hard candy, fruit gummy, cookies, wafer, snack, and beverage, whilst LB Food Sdn. Bhd., which is located in Rawang, Selangor Darul Ehsan, is the primary trading arm and is responsible for the export market of the Cocoaland Holding Group. B Plus Q Sdn. Bhd. which is located in Kampar, Perak Darul Rizuan, mainly manufactures soft drinks, wafer rolls, peas, nuts, jelly cups, snacks, and crackers. Mite Food Enterprise Sdn. Bhd., which is a wholly own subsidiary of B Plus Q, is the trading and distribution arm for B Plus Q Sdn. Bhd. and operates from the same premises as B Plus Q Snd. Bhd.

   Cocoaland Industry Sdn. Bhd. was incorporated in Malaysia on 22nd August 1990 under the Act as a private limited company. CISB commenced business on 2 march 1991 and is principally engaged in the manufacturing trading of processed and preserved foods and fruits of all kinds.

LB Food Sdn. Bhd. was incorporated in Malaysia on 23 January 1984 under the Act as a private limited company. LBFSB is principally involved in the wholesale and retail of processed and preserved foods.

   B Plus Q Sdn. Bhd. was incorporated in Malaysia on 29 August 1985 under the Act as a private limited company. The company is principally engaged in the business of manufacturing fruit juice and foodstuffs.

   Mite Food Enterprise Sdn. Bhd. was incorporated on 10 September 1980 in Malaysia under Act as a private limited company. The company's principal activities are that of the trading and distribution of foodstuffs. MTESB acts mainly as the marketing and distribution arm of BPQSB.

   Before CISB was formed, MFESB was the manufacturer and distributor for LBFSB in the 1980s. MFESB was absorbed by BPQSB concentrated on the manufacturing aspect. MFESB distributes to the northern region of Malaysia.
